Hi everyone! Welcome to Chasing New Adventures, or CNA for short. I’m Ananya, a 15 year old from the California Bay Area. You can read about me in detail here, but a few things to know for now are:
- I have a HUGE passion for travel, it’s my favourite thing.
- I’ve been obsessed with aviation, specifically airplanes and airlines, practically since I was born. One year I requested to fly to LA and back for my birthday present (my wish was granted!)
- I love learning about different cultures, and places, and one of my preferred ways to do that is through food. Fine dining is incredibly enjoyable, but I’m happy anywhere where the food is good.
- I have a large interest in exploring lesser-known, often ignored, countries. My current dream destination is Eritrea, a tiny country in East Africa that’s said to be “The North Korea of Africa”.
In 2019, when the pandemic hit, I turned to travel blogs as a source of inspiration for the future and a way to keep travel in my life. I had dreamed about writing a blog for years, but it was then that I realized I should give it a try. Multiple friends of mine have looked at me and said “You should be a travel blogger!” without any prior knowledge that it’s my dream job, and they have encouraged me to finally launch my blog. Chasing New Adventures has been in the works for a long time – all my past travel experiences have played a role in preparing me to do this – and I am overjoyed to finally publish my first post.
With that said, you can generally expect at least one post per day. For now, I will be posting a mix of content from my most recent trips, exciting stories from older travels, and some of my general insights into the travel industry, starting with a report from my weekend in Denver last month.
I’ll be in New York next, trying out 3 different hotels and seeing how much I can cram into 3 full days. Of course, I’ll be posting everything to the blog immediately after, but I’ll also be sharing live updates on my social media pages:
